About the Role
Detail-oriented Security Analyst as an Incident Responder. In this critical role, you will be responsible for
identifying, investigating, and containing security incidents within an organization’s IT infrastructure. You
will work collaboratively with the security team to ensure a swift and effective response to any potential
threats, minimizing damage and ensuring business continuity.Responsibilities
• Monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and other security tools for suspicious activity
and potential incidents.
• Investigate security alerts to determine the root cause, scope, and impact of incidents.
• Perform digital forensics and malware analysis to gather evidence and identify attackers’ tools
and techniques.
• Contain incidents by isolating affected systems and preventing further compromise.
• Implement remediation strategies to eradicate threats and restore affected systems.
• Document the incident response process, findings, and recommendations for improvement.
• Participate in incident response planning and training exercises.
• Collaborate with internal teams (IT, legal) and external stakeholders (law enforcement) as
needed.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent
experience).
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in security operations or incident response.
• Strong understanding of network security concepts, intrusion detection/prevention systems,
and digital forensics.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid security certifications (e.g., Security+, GCFA, GCIH) a plus.
