Medical Coder

Key Responsibilities :

• Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any ambiguous or unclear information.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and standards.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency in coding practices.
• Provide training and support to other members of the healthcare team on medical coding principles and best practices.

Job Requirements :

• Familiarity with MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred but not required.
