Job Description: Network Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in communication systems, networking, baseband technology, data communication, IP addressing, and configuration of L1/ L-2/L-3 switches, routers, SAN storage, VMWare, and related technologies. Additionally, basic knowledge of IT, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and operating systems such as Linux, RT Linux, Lynx OS, and Windows servers is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and related components.
• Implement and manage IP addressing schemes and configurations for both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
• Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy network solutions that support business objectives.
• Monitor network performance and integrity, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.
• Participate in the planning and execution of network expansion and upgrade projects.
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-scale networks.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing L-2/L-3 switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Strong understanding of baseband technology, data communication principles, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.).
• Experience with storage area networks (SAN), virtualization technologies (VMWare), and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Familiarity with IT fundamentals, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and operating systems (Linux, RT Linux, Lynx OS, Windows servers).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced certifications in networking or related technologies.
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.).
• Knowledge of industry-specific compliance and security standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies and implementation.
