Position: Supply Chain Development Analyst (Biomass Fuel)

Reporting to: Head- Fuel & Commercial

Experience: 4-6 years of experience in supply chain management including logistics handling. Exposure of biomass fuel sourcing (paddy, mustard etc.) will be an added advantage.

Travel Requirements: 5-7 days travel to Punjab, Haryana or Rajasthan Sites every month.

Introduction:

The role reports to the Head- Fuel & Commercial, regarding Biomass Fuel Supply Chain Development for the operational & under-construction biomass waste to energy (WTE) plants of SAEL.

The role contributes to providing long-term supply chain solutions, based on identifying sources, transport & safe storage mechanisms; including opportunities assessment and providing best value propositions.
The role will provide opportunity to work on the technologies of future for decarbonization of energy industry. It will include logistics and supply chain management services across multiple WTE plants. The role will help to build a long and successful career in supply chain management. There will be ample amount of on-ground learnings, field visits, interaction at grass root levels for sourcing mechanisms. In addition to growth opportunities, the mentorship, trainings and management support will motivate and inspire candidates towards becoming an expert on supply chains.

Key Responsibility:

  • Reporting to Head- Fuel & Commercial while working with Cluster Managers/Plant Fuel Managers for Fuel Supply Chain Development.
  • Visiting to plants/clusters to understand supply chain challenges/constraints and thereby devising workable solutions for the issues.
  • Preparing costing sheets for benchmark optimal prices for landed cost of fuel at individual WTE plant.
  • Working as SPOC for Daily liaison with plant fuel managers/cluster managers for MIS preparation, issues pertaining to fuel management, land lease management, monitoring of fuel storage, consumption etc.
  • Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text with critical thinking skills.
  • Handling stake-holder issues/complaints and highlighting the same as per working matrix for expedited resolutions.
  • Manage own tasks in the pursuit team to the highest quality within the assigned deadline.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Display ownership of the pursuit, with ability to manage and communicate to stakeholders towards the success of the sales pursuit.
  • Drive and contribute to innovation, standardization and capability-building areas in the Supply Chain Development team.
  • Possess and continue learning of supply chain industry.
  • Strive to be a role model regarding good behaviour on work accountability & ownership, motivation and teamwork.
  • Willing to take up additional workload as and when need arises.
